Concepcion Carrillo, Social Work Trainee

Concepcion Carrillo also goes by Connie grew up in a small town in the Mojave desert and decided to come back to Watsonville to pursue her bachelor’s degree. As a first-generation Latine student, she received her undergraduate at the University of California at Santa Cruz in psychology. She is currently enrolled in an MSW program at Simmons University and hopes to get her license to become an LCSW. With her own experience and the work she has done providing accessible mental health services for youth is one of her biggest passions. She currently works at Monarch Services providing support for youth survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her family, traveling, reading, and trying out new hobbies.
