TAG Research Program

The CCAMH TAG (Teen Advisory Group) Research Program provides local teens the opportunity to share their perspectives to elevate mental health research, programming, and public policy.

Through this program, TAG researchers:

  1. Discuss youth mental health, emerging issues, and brainstorm ways to address the crisis with teens from other high schools.

  2. Learn about qualitative and quantitative scientific research

  3. Conduct peer-to-peer research mentored by youth mental health researchers and professionals.

  4. Collect, compare, and analyze research with the findings of other TAG program cohorts.

  5. Bring the youth voice to the table by presenting ideas, research, and recommendations to teens, parents, educators, policymakers, and other community members.

On Wednesday, May 22, 2024 our TAG researchers presented their data and recommendations at the 2nd Annual State of Youth Mental Health in SLO County. It was an impactful night for both the presenters and the audience.

During the Q&A portion at the end of the presentation, the audience asked our researchers about their experiences, thoughts and data analysis.
