Veronica Garcia, Social Work Trainee

Home is where the heart is, and Veronica Garcia's heart has found ways to be in multiple places at once. Being from a border city, she finds homes in both San Diego and Tijuana and now is finding a new home in magical Santa Cruz county. She is a first-generation undergraduate from the University of California, Santa Cruz majoring in Psychology and Spanish Literature. Veronica has continued her education endeavors pursuing a master's in Social Work at Simmons University to further her career in providing holistic services to all walks of life. She works at Monarch Services supporting survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. In her free time, Veronica enjoys reading, writing poetry and short stories, hiking, learning about various topics, and having deep meaningful conversations with others.
